FOO FIGHTERS Invite Fans To Potluck Dinner At Their 606 Studio In Exclusive Short Film For VEVO 'Extended Play' Series
September 25, 2026Vevo, the world's leading music video network, has announced the release of FOO FIGHTERS' short film as the conclusion to their "Extended Play" series. FOO FIGHTERS' "Extended Play" installment features intimate conversations, as well as live performances of "Child Actor", "Of All People", "Caught In The Echo" and "Unconditional", from their new album "Your Favorite Toy".
Filmed at FOO FIGHTERS' 606 studio in Los Angeles, the Vevo original features the band discussing musical influences over a potluck dinner. Dave Grohl comes in strong with ingredients for BLTs, keyboardist Rami Jaffee shows off his "Los Angeles Kugel," bass player Nate Mendel brings salmon, guitarist Chris Shiflett totes green beans, drummer Ilan Rubin comes in with his freshly baked sourdough and guitarist Pat Smear rounds out the meal with ice cream sandwiches.
As the band sits down to eat, they reflect on how the sounds of their pasts shaped the FOO FIGHTERS music. The band's new album, "Your Favorite Toy", is an amalgamation of those sounds — from the breakneck hardcore tempos of some of the members' previous bands to the timeless melodies they loved as kids and older, wiser adults alike. "I like the new songs just because they feel comfortable to play" mused Dave. Ilan agreed, saying, "Nothing felt…uncomfortable."
"Working with FOO FIGHTERS was an incredible experience for our entire team," says JP Evangelista, EVP of content, programming and marketing, Vevo. "From the moment we started collaborating, it was clear why they've stayed at the top of rock for over two decades: the energy, musicianship and passion they bring to every performance is truly unmatched. They were generous collaborators who were deeply invested in getting every detail just right, all while being down-to-earth and fun. Having the opportunity to partner with a band of this caliber who still perform with the hunger of a group just starting out is the kind of moment that reminds us why we do this job."
Vevo's "Extended Play" connects fans to global artists through tailored live performances and personal storytelling in meaningful locations. Shaped by the artists themselves, the original series provides an exclusive look into the creative framework of their latest project.
